Winkleigh is a beautiful village nestled in the stunning Devon countryside, yet within easy reach of Crediton and Okehampton.  We have an incredibly dedicated staff team who are passionate about their role in ensuring all children have access to a wealth of learning experiences and the very best curriculum. 

PE and Physical activity is a key feature of our school, we have a dedicated Sports Coach who provides high quality PE provision which is vital to children’s physical and emotional well-being and resilience.  We have a daily mile track which all children use on a daily basis.  We have regular sporting fixtures against local schools where children can experience being part of their school team.         

We are proud to be part of the Queen Elizabeth’s School Sports Partnership in Crediton.  This allows our children to access sporting events with other local primary schools. Events have included tag rugby festivals, gymnastics, orienteering, multi sports, canoeing and many others. 

Our Nursery is housed in a purpose built building, known as The Pod. Children have access to a large play room and extensive outside areas.

The school offers a breakfast club from 7:45am every morning and a variety of after-school wraparound care and enrichment clubs, there is something for everyone!

As well as every child in Key Stage 2 having their own iPad for use in school, we also have a 3D printer which was kindly donated by our Year 6 parents in 2021.
